Learn to Follow JesusOne of the challenges we have throughout our lives is learning to grow. Whether it is in our professions, in our relationships, or who we choose to be as a person, it takes a commitment to learning and often, to change. If there is any consolation, we are in good company! The twelve disciples were in the same boat. They weren't saints. They weren't scholars. Most weren't educated beyond their ability to earn a living. They were everyday people you wouldn't notice on the street when they passed you by! Yet, they learned to follow Jesus in an extraordinary way. These 12 ordinary men sat at the feet of Jesus and learned some, often times, difficult concepts to understand. And, it all began when Jesus asked them to drop what they were doing to, "Follow me." At Suntree United Methodist Church, everyone is encouraged to learn. Through study we too can experience what it takes to be effective followers of Jesus. Just like the many, many men and women throughout the centuries, we too are able to use our lives, our faith, our faults and our failings as we learn to follow Jesus.
