For couples, one of the biggest contributors to a fulfilling life is the marriage relationship. Through the church’s Marriage Ministry, there are a number of marriage enrichment opportunities and programs available to married or engaged couples. If you have questions about marriage ministry matters, contact the ministry’s coordinators. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” Ephesians 5:31 Strong marriages honor God. |

Life in blended families can challenge the marriage relationship and complicate family dynamics as a whole. Although all of Suntree United Methodist Church’s marriage enrichment opportunities can benefit parents in stepfamilies, small groups are a great way to enjoy support, information, and fellowship. Several small groups within the church are made up of couples who have children from previous relationships. These covenant groups focus on those blessings and challenges that are a part of everyday life. Small Groups |
No matter what stage of courtship you are in, it is worth taking time to consider some basic principles for choosing a marriage partner. A solid, secure marriage is a matter of choice – not luck – and it begins before marriage. Remarriage is the education component of the last phase of Suntree United Methodist Church’s Divorce Recovery program. Some of the components of the workshop: · Recognize opportunities for personal growth using the insight gained from the divorce. · Learn how to deal with conflicts. · Be clear about your preferences in mate selection. · Develop a personal plan of action to be emotionally healthy. · Accept that effort and risk will be required to grow. The 12-week workshop is held Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Contact program director Sheila Francisco at 321-302-0717 for more information. |
