Discover the warmth and fellowship offered in a small group. In a large church like Suntree United Methodist, this is a great opportunity to discuss the Bible, get answers about religion and church, and to make progress on your spiritual journey while also getting to know others who attend the church. Grow with each other as you share life struggles and joys. A small group is an intentional gathering of people whose purpose is to discover and grow in Christ, serve one another and the body of Christ, and reach out to the world for Christ. Specifics- Size: 6-12 people
- Time: regular meeting is approximately two hours in length to include fellowship, study, prayer, and outreach
- Location: generally the meetings are held in a group member's home
- Focus: the topic of study is relevant to spiritual and relational development
- Leadership: led by both a leader and a co-leader committed to the spiritual and relational development of the group
- Group types: There are groups for men, for women, for couples, for singles or mixed. Indicate your preference.
How to Join- Attend a small group orientation meeting held periodically during the year. At the end of the session, small groups actually form.
- Call the church office to obtain contact information for the Small Group Ministry leader.
- Form a core group with some friends.
- By invitation from an existing group. Small groups are dynamic. As groups mature through live exchange, new members are added and new groups form.
