About Oasis – Thursday Morning Spiritual Refreshment for Women

Oasis is a Bible Study and fellowship for women desiring a deeper relationship with God and with each other. We are pleased to let you know that you will be hearing from both of our Pastors as well as from several women of Oasis during our devotional time. You won’t want to miss this time of spiritual refreshment and inspiration for women of all ages. We meet on Thursday mornings from 9 to 11:30 am. We start in the SUMC Dining Room with breakfast and fellowship. At 9:30 wil have devotions and then everyone is released to their chosen class at 10:00 am.

Registration is $12 plus the cost of any class materials.

Free Childcare: Children 6 months to 5 years. Just be sure to register each child.

This will be a drop-in, week-to-week class on topics chosen by women of our church. With instructors like Pastor Annette Stiles Pendergrass, Pastor Allee Wilcox, Michelle Garrett, Kathy Turner, Patty Rexrode and others, you won’t want to miss these exciting lectures. No homework, no book.

Hebrews – Free

Facilitator: Cathrine Larrea
We pray and pray and often only hear silence. This study of the book of Hebrews will caution us not to “drift” from our belief in Jesus Christ, and will encourage us to listen in new ways to the trustworthy Son of God.

Finding “I Am” – Optional Book $17

Facilitator – Aleta Sinclair
In this study by Lysa Terkurst of the “I am…” statements of Jesus in the Gospel of John, we will think about the character of our Lord Jesus Christ. This study promises to remind us how God fulfills our longings and deepest cries of our hearts. DVD study with reading and homework.

Determined – $13

Facilitator: Nancy Dickey
In this study by Heather Dixon, we will think about how we can be “Determined” to make every moment of our lives count as we build the kingdom and our relationships with God. DVD study with reading and optional homework.

Forgiveness – $12

Facilitator: Robin Lea
“Forgiving others is a gift we give ourselves.” In this study by Adam Hamilton, we will think about the power of forgiveness in our lives as we let go of our anger to trust God and find peace. Light reading, no homework.
